Life update+ using a dumbphone

It's been a while I wrote here, and maybe an update will work now.

Hi! I´m Talia again.

First, I had to update again the entry of gyaru and latin america because some photos bugged and I lost some of them...

Second, I got a new job and then quit.

Third, I´m in my thesis rn and I´m making it about fashion with a friend!!!

Well, and, what I came for: THE DUMBPHONE.

In june I had so much triggers due to the use of my usual cellphone because of how social media is made, and I got so much rage that I choosed to end up all that and to buy a vintage phone, what one? The beautiful LG Wine  Smart D486.
This phone is old enough to not be able to use Whatsapp nor any social media, but still 4G to have contact with my family and friends via SMS or calls.

Well... when I bought it actually I thought I was going to be able to get Whatsapp, but I was scammed by the sellers on Ebay. They said to me it was Android 5.1.1, but it was 4.4.2 and unable to update!!! I still mantain it because I was too desperate for an escape to my social media suffering. In return I got a 5% discount for the “mistake”... yeah.

But in any situation, my addiction to Instagram was fully deleted to this new phone. I used it a whole month and it was the best! It just sometimes didn´t work properly the SMS maybe because they were (for some reason) sent to my old phone when it was still on.

Sadly, in august, suddenly my phone stopped getting signal, but it still got wi-fi. Idk what's wrong and I mush send it to the technician, but I don't have money for it. I want to save it because I SPENT 60 DOLLARS IN IT and it really helped me. It was so effecrive that when I returned with my usual phone, I forgot to open Instagram or got easily bored using it for a whole month. Now I'm addicted again :( and it's way more shown my triggers like that.

Go dumb! Dumb down your life! The healthiest thing ever!

  HEHE I LIVE IN CHILE AND THAT'S ALREADY A PROBLEM So well, it's hard to get into any japanese style when you don't have money or you're straight low class. In my case, I'm very priviledged to be medium-high social stratum, but sadly that doesn't mean I can afford brand clothing or worse, I EVEN CAN'T AFFORD FAKE BRAND BAHSHDHGDSASGHSDF, that's because I live in South America, where fashion is like one year away from today for being mainstream, normally because we have different our stations of the year. In a easier way to say, when it's summer in the north hemisphere, here is winter, so we get in the mainstream fashion stores the last year's winter clothing from north hemisphere. So... third world problems require third world solutions, SO HERE I AM!! Being from Chile, the skinny legend and known country in Latin America for our elegant language (joke comparable to the bullying to aussie accent) and peaceful protests making barricades and burni...

Latinamerican influence in gyaru subculture! (UPDATED)

It's Talia again! Note: sadly, for some reason, some photos bugged and I updated this with new photos, I lost some of them :( Many of my readers know that I'm studying sociology, making me an awful over-analist girl when it's comes to urban tribes and cultural expression. Everytime I think about something I try to research about it, and after trying to research the history of tanning, I'm making this entry to anylise the latinamerican influence in gyaru subculture because I often see references to Latin America and it makes me so happy! (if you ask what happened with the history of tanning, every article in Google Scholar was almost only about tanning and its relationship with skin cancer or about tanning leather). Y'all know I'm from Chile, which makes me latin american (I'd rather to say latin american than latina because it specifies more clearly where I'm from, because to say only latino/a/e because the term 'latin' can apple to other culture...

 BUENOS DÍAS BUENAS TARDES soy Talia y les vengo a dedicar unas palabras a los millenials chilenos que pasaron las etapas de ser pokemones o parecidos (a ojos de los adultos del tiempo): No se avergüencen de sus pasados. Me explico, yo soy una chica de generación Z y admiro mucho la expresión personal aplicada en no sólo la ropa sino también en estilos de vida, principalmente en tribus urbanas y subculturas, lo que hace que me entristezca (o mas bien dicho, me enfurezcan) que hoy existan millenials que niegan sus pasados de tribus urbanas para adaptarse a lo que se exije en las pegas y áreas académicas.
